Local Agent
Use local diagnostics when the browser cannot see enough.
The RouterWiz Local Agent is planned as a Windows-first helper for internal IP, gateway, DNS, firewall, local listening, public IP, double NAT, and CGNAT diagnosis. It should explain findings before it suggests any system-level change.
What the first agent should do
- Detect local IP, gateway, DNS, public IP, and listening state on the current PC.
- Check Windows Firewall status and prepare guided next actions before any changes.
- Compare router-side issues against local issues such as no listener or wrong internal IP.
Rules for trust
- Separate read-only diagnostics from admin-required actions.
- Do not add firewall rules without clear user consent.
- Minimize exported or transmitted diagnostic data.
- Use report sharing as an explicit user action.
