What this tool is for

Use this when you need to understand who owns a public IP, which ASN announces it, and whether the public path matches the ISP or provider you expected.

Data source

IP geolocation context on this page uses DB-IP Lite. ASN ownership context is matched from the locally hosted IPtoASN dataset.

IP Lookup helps when you need more than the raw address. If the ASN or organization looks wrong, your DDNS target, upstream path, or ISP assumptions may be off.

  • Compare the result with your expected ISP, cloud host, or CDN.
  • If this is your own current public IP, move next into NAT Path Checker or NAT Type Checker.
  • If the IP should host a website, continue into Reverse DNS, HTTP Headers, or SSL Check.
